Helping you be the best version of you; physically and mentally.
Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) is a therapy designed to bring the body back into balance. It consists of a series of stretches and movements that can help solve both minor and chronic pains.
KCR focuses on correcting an imbalance in the body that affects around 96% of people. The imbalance can be due to a leg length discrepancy (LLD), but in most cases an apparent LLD is actually a misalignment elsewhere, affecting the body’s overall balance and natural curve.
This can cause pain, discomfort and the inability to complete everyday activities – including exercising. Over time, the body’s posture might change, with muscles and joints adapting to the misalignment.
Simply put, any alignment issues you suffer, could have a knock-on effect on the surrounding joints, ligaments and muscles. Left untreated, this could cause more serious problems.
Who can benefit from KCR therapy?
- People with chronic pain or weaknesses sustained from old injuries.
- Those living with a lifelong physical condition.
- Physically fit individuals who have reached a plateau.
- Athletes looking to improve their performance.
KCR is for everyone.
KCR is effective because it treats the root of the problem, rather than focusing on the areas where the pain is manifesting.
The treatment starts at the feet and works up to the head in order to help realign the body’s posture. An average of one to three sessions are needed in order to return the body to balance. In order to fully benefit, some continue to have regular sessions.
As with any physical and mental exercises, treatment will vary depending on individual circumstances.
Loose and comfortable clothing is recommended – and sessions will usually last for around 40 minutes each. After the treatment, you will be given some basic stretches to do at home.
Conditions helped by KCR therapy include:
- Chronic knee problems
- Teeth clenching
- Pelvic problems
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Breathing difficulties
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Fatigue and low energy levels
How can Sinclair’s Body Shop help?
‘A chain is only as strong as its weakest link’
Not all links in the body are equally important, but any damage that’s left untreated can have a negative impact on your fitness, movement, and ability to exercise. When struggling physically, it can be easy to surrender to the misconception that your body is incapable of performing better.
